how hard is it to transfer to chapel hill?

i go to GW, freshman in the buisness school. I didnt get into chapel hill out of high school. i hear it isnt so hard to transfer into especially if im coming from GWSB. Its where i have my heart set on. That and Duke(2nd). What do i need to get in next fall?

You have to transfer into the main campus first, complete a semester and then apply to Kenan-Flagler. The transfer rate for the entire school is 45%. But you have to remember it's a state school (their CC students) and you are OOS.

I'm applying there as a transfer too, among other schools.

what does a person need from a school like GW buisness to transfer to chapel hill?

OOS does not matter for transfers; the 18% rule no long applies. As a sophomore transfer, UNC will still look at your high school record and SAT scores. Your first semester grades from GW will also be very important; do your best and find a couple of professors either this semester or next that will write great recs for you.

thanks for the info....45% is a pretty big number isnt it? does anyone have any idea of what kind of numbers i need to get in? i didnt get in from high school....does it show determination that i keep applying or is it bad?

anyone know if you can transfer spring to chapel hill?

anyone know much about chapel hill?

its in north carolina

Its an AWESOME school that isn't that hard to get into as a transfer.

I was wondering the same question about how hard it is to transfer. My GPA isn't very good at all...prob 3.2something after this semester (though part of that can be explained by mono). But I'm doing 25 hours/week of research with a professor, would that give me any hope or should I just not bother? And my hs stats were great, but I'd be a junior next year so im not sure they'd even look at that.
