How high of an ACT/SAT score can offset low GPA?

Hi, I was having a hard time finding the stats of UCLA enrolled students (as opposed to just admitted) and I was wondering what kind of an SAT/ ACT could perhaps help me overcome my low GPA.

My stats:
UW 3.5
UC 3.77

ACT-31
SAT II - 700, maybe 720 for the other

Assuming everything else looks good, and I am not a special minority (I'm applying as Malaysian), what are my chances as is, and would raising my ACT to a 33 significantly improve chances.

Thanks for any help!

I'm no expert, but I don't think it will matter much if your ECs are good enough + good personal statement etc. I know many people that go/are going to go to UCLA that had maybe 3.8 weighted and not so great test scores but put a lot into their extracurriculars so if you don't have the numbers, those make the difference.

This is only a single case, but a friend of mine was in a similar situation with not so great GPA/rank + good/great test scores with an okay/pretty good (this is my opinion only) personal statement and not so great ECs and was only offered the Merced "shared experience" (2 years at Merced then automatic transfer to UCLA provided you don't fail miserably). She was also southeast Asian if that counts for anything.

Also... I don't think you really need to take it since you already took the ACT, but... no SAT I?

2100

thanks guys, channel, did your friend accept the shared experience program (I don't know if i'd be down to go to merced for 2 years, and flopsy, UCs apparently count a 31 on the ACT as a 2100, and I never took the SAT 1 because I like the ACT a lot more (science FTW)

nope she didn't want to go to Merced either. she tried appealing but nothing came of it so she just went to another school.
