How I am looking for RD?

So I am applying to Wash U RD. Its def. one of my top choices... I was deferred Stanford EA... and I want to communicate to Wash U that they are my top choice (I regretted doing EA to Stanford)...

I did the whole visit/Interview/ even sent thank you letters for the visit route...

Basically I'm looking at:
2200 SAT
SATIIs 800 math 2, 680 Physics, 660 spanish (ouch!)
34/33 ACT (the 34 was w/out writing, will they look at that still?)
Class rank between 1-5/610 (I am number 1 right now, have a few Bs this semester, may drop a few).
GPA 4.0 as of now UW, may drop to about 3.98 with a few Bs this semester
I have fairly good ECs:
Captain of Mock Trial Team, a varsity sport (tennis), StuCo, NHS, Some honorary societies, Peer Jury, Volunteer at old folks home.

How do I look? I don't want wash U to think I want them as a safety... which I have heard they do with valedictorians. Will my less than perfect test scores show I am not thinking they are a safety at all, and my visit (I am from chicagoland area, so just a 5 hour drive)?

Thanks for the input

It seems you have a decent chance. Yeah, make sure you get interviews to show interest.

Yah, I did the interview at campus...

I really want to go... anyone else?

I am applying to Wash U as well and have similar, but worse stats than yours. You said that you play tennis, I play tennis as well, what I think helps me at Wash U is I can play tennis for them. The women's coach is very interesting in me, you should consider talking to the coach as this could significantly increase your chances if you are any good.

Yes, I am nothing special... number 2 single on a not so hot team, I didn't even qualify for state, most of time goes into academics, not into athletics... but at least I get some excersise...!

Anyone else have any ideas... I seemed pretty comparable to the people accepted ED... but then again, they were ED, which is higher admit?

You should of apply to Wash U EdII...Harder to get in RD.
Wash U treats their students really good!
