I've always had the mindset to purchase a two inch binder for each of my classes, with the exception of Gym, and as you may know, lugging around six two inch binders to and fro isn't exactly the most pleasant experience.

What can I do to substitute the multiple binders while still staying organized for my Junior year, which is going to be by far my most hectic year yet.

Try combining related classes into binders…I have block schedule so I keep AP Bio and Honors Chem in one 1.5" binder and Spanish and English in another. That way I only have one binder each day. A lot of classes you can get by with a composition or spiral notebook, which saves a lot of space, and you can keep folders for loose papers. it’s really not necessary to lug around all your things from the whole year at once; empty old papers out every few months and keep them at home.

I don’t think we can combine binders, our district mandates binder checks for most academic classes, which happens I believe once a quarter. Perhaps I could keep folders and notebooks for notes, and then every week, remove of all of my notes and handouts and file them into binders which I could only bring back the day they’re being evaluated… but I didn’t know if that would be too tedious or not.

^ That’s what we all do at my school, I have 8 leverarch binders stcked up in my room and one that I take to school every day. I can then keep about a months notes in this binder before it’s emptied out into the relevant place at home.

I keep a folder and a notebook for each class. If they give out a lot of work sheets I just clip each chapter or section together. Its so much lighter and less space consuming than binders.

Sturdy ,plastic folders are the way to go . A different color for each class is ideal .
