How do you limit having to carry books around all day?

Hmmmm…last year I planned it out. For the first three classes I carried my books/binders. Then, we had a homework period where I would drop my books off. Luckily I had gym then lunch, so that I could grab my books for the next three classes. Based on your schedule, you should try and carry 1-3 books/binders and then go to your locker. If you can’t, then try and get portfolios…:):D

I had about 3 lockers around school (its only a 2a school so pretty small) so it was extremely easy to get to my locker after a class. We only have 4 classes a semester.
I got a 2 inch binder for math and history and s 1.5 for English and science. Then I had folders and a notebook for each binder. I’m extremely color code oriented too.

I use one 1.5" binder. I have separate folders for all of my classes that I put in that one binder–that way I never have to worry about forgetting something. I’ve been doing that since 7th grade (I’m a senior now) and it’s always worked. Also, I managed to change my locker (which used to be on the end of the school where NO classes are) to a great location, so last year I stopped at my locker to grab/put back a book after almost every class. :D

I assign every subject a color - Math is blue, Social studies is orange/brown/red, depending on what I have (but brown is preferable), Science is green, and english is yellow or red depending on what ss is.
THen the binders are that color! :D

I actually used 1 4-inch binder for all my classes. We are on block scheduling so I only had 4 classes in the 1 binder. Then I also carried 4 notebooks.

I use 1in binders. The biggest I will go is 1 1/2in.

Binders suck.

7-folder accordion suited all of my needs just fine, plus a 5-subject notebook.

80mm (about 3" right?) lever arch file/binder. Just got one that I carry around at school for all my subjects with dividers. When I reach the end of a topic I empty it out into seperate binders at home.
Our school’s small compared to most US ones, so I can reach my locker between every class for books and PE kit. It also helps that it’s located pretty centrally in the school.

I don’t like binders either.

Accordion folder (about 12 pockets) and then a notebook for each class. I usually had only one book to carry with, so everything fit in a drawstring bag. If there was 2, I’d carry one and put the other one in my bag.

I could go to my locker between any classes I wanted, I walk fast enough and my locker was centrally located. I usually went every other class or so.

I had a 1.5" binder that was required for bio last year. I also had a 2" binder holding in papers for my four other classes, but I got rid of it since it was useless. I also kept a 3" binder at home, which was also required for bio. I had to keep all homework assignments, tests, etc. in there after every quarter, even though she ended up not checking the home binder (I thought she would). Overall, the binder is to keep for future bio courses if I need it. My bio teacher also did binder checks once in a while. She would act like they were surprise binder checks, but she usually ended up telling us when she would check the binders anyways.

EDIT: Sorry I didn’t really answer the question, just realized that.

I used to use binders for school, but I gave that up a few months ago and started using folders. I find that binders can get heavy at times and folders can really ease up some stress.

But I used a 1 inch or 1.5 inch binder.

I use manila folders

I have always used a 1 inch binder for each of my 6 classes and at my school we always have 2 classes then a chance to switch out books (break, lunch & end of day). It’s always worked for me but I guess it depends on how your school works and how you like to organize.
