I know that Stanford says its "highly recommended" which scares me to death because i dont have a score above 750! (not even u.s. history where i scored a 5 on AP test). So basically, how important are subject tests in admittance to Stanford? Can they only help? or what?

I’d love to know b/cthey don’t even accept January scores,& I’m nervous that my Dec ones won’t be good enough to send

I would send any scores 700 or higher.

It also depends on the rest of your application, though. If you have great AP scores and a great SAT Reasoning Test score, Subject Tests don’t have a lot to contribute. But, however, if you come from a school that does not offer very many AP tests or your SAT score is subpar, sending Subject Test scores is a good idea.

I think the Stanford website says that if you don’t send in your SAT II scores, it won’t hurt you. (I didn’t send any of my scores.) Did you send yours in already? If so, I doubt that lowish scores will hurt you. 700+ is okay.
