Just curious. If someone is already an academic admit just how important are the essays?
It depends. You said you’re an academic admit so you should get into TAMU, but the essays might help with your department and/or scholarships. My son was an auto-admit but still spent time on his essays just to make sure he put his best foot forward. He is a junior now and has several scholarships that my be due in part to the essays. Just our opinion.
Don’t get me wrong my son has already written essays A&B and I would say they are good. He is having more trouble with essay C since he is very literal and matter of fact and working an abstract idea like that is one that he needs to work on.
Also, how important is it to weave your major into the essays? Doing so seems a bit trite and forced. Would they rather you don’t but have them be more about the student and who they are? Is it an issue if there are some themes shared between essay A and B?
Trying to help guide him and allow him to put his best foot forward.
