How Important is Job Experience?

Hey guys, I am currently starting my second quarter at a community college (Accounting major) and was wondering how important part time jobs play a role (if any) for my career in the future. As of right now I have no job experience such as retail, grocery clerk, etc. I plan on looking/applying for internships after I transfer out during my 3rd year. Will no job experience right now hurt my chances to join a small / big firm? Thanks

Also any recommendations on accounting internships and how to find them?!

Job experience is crucial. You need to find a place to give you your first job, and then every job after will build on the one before it. Before you realize, you’ll have a nice little resume. I would HIGHLY recommend trying to find some kind of job.

Relevant job/internship experience is paramount above all else.
