How important is the ACT?

I'm wondering how colleges view the ACT in comparison with the SAT. I have taken the SAT twice and the ACT for the first time today. I did fine on the first SAT and am awaiting what I hope to be some raised scores. I don't think I got the 31ish I was hoping for on this ACT.....is there really any benefit of me taking it again? With practice I could probably get a 32 ACT and my combined SAT will be between 2000-2100. Should I go for the 32 also, or will it have no affect on my college search/acceptance?

Sorry for getting wordy and repetetive--just wanted to fit everything in.

back to top we go

They don't care if you take the ACT or the SAT, so just give the best score you have out of those two.

There is a ACT to SAT conversion scale on a PR website, I dont remember the URL, but I am sure that if you google it, and search a little you will find it.

The vast majority of schools couldnt care less which one (SAT/ACT) you submit. They will take your best scores, because the better you look, the better their stats look when they report.
