FOr the SS graduation requirement, I'm considering taking Soc 100. How difficult is this class?
It seems to be an easy class because it is still in the 100 level...

Has anyone taken it?

It is boring and rather random. I got an A but an engineering buddy got a B-. Lots of memorization. SS graduate requirement is probably the easiest to fulfill. Humanities are the most difficult since there are not that many classes.

Is there any better SS class I can take instead?

I’ve heard Soc 100 is easy as long as u keep up with the readings and stuff like that

Psych 111 should be easy if you don’t already have AP psych credit. I heard that Anthrcul 101 is easy as well and it gives you the RE requirement too.

My AP credit already covers Psych 111.

I think the SS requirement for LSA is 7 credits, so I would need a 3 credit class to cover that. I’m not sure if SS can be covered with AP credit though…

Soc 100 sounds easy.

AP credit does NOT cover the distribution. For distribution, all the credits must be obtained in residence at UM.

I want to take this class to I’m a Chem major though lol!

I’m pairing up Soc 100 with a Science class which will make it into a total of 7 credits for the Summer…

I hope it works out well, 3-4 credits alone seems like its too few for a Spring/Summer term
