Congratulations David! You are in at an Ivy and NYU - a very good problem to have. Hopefully the following information will help your decision.
You also also have a great scholarship which is reserved for less than the top tenth percentile of applicants at NYU. However this is a finance decision based on your family situation and therefore something that has to be worked out by you by discussing with your family.
The Dean’s scholarship is a unique opportunity, where it renders you as part of a great group of students across colleges at NYU. This can let you specialize in dual majors / minors while enrolled at CAS.
The award you have is reserved for less than the top 1% of the incoming student pool. As you will learn from below this is more than an Ivy admit caliber. Ivies typically do not have Merit based scholarships. The Deans scholarship at NYU is need agnostic and purely based on merit. In the past I have seen other students receiving this award also admitted to multiple ivies, and end up picking NYU as the school of attendance.
All recipients are part of the Presidential Honors program because of your academic credentials. You will receive extensive training in your ability to lead research programs mentored by dedicated faculty / academic advisors who will focus on honing your research skills. You will be part of a peer group who will go through this training.
You can also apply for specific research funding requests for projects in your junior and senior years. All funded research will be published officially in the official College Journal called Inquiry.
You get to go abroad to other global NYU campuses in your first and second year, funded by NYU and also study abroad at one of those campuses in your Junior/senior year.
You get to meet faculty advisors twice a month as part of an eclectic academic cohort.
A New York presence will give you unmatched opportunities, educational, profit and non-profit for your internships, and your career, be it in Liberal Arts, Science or Business which is certainly not available to students of the Ivy League Schools. The best part of this is, you can transfer for a semester to the Washington Campus or any of the other global campus locations (See https://rebrand.ly/a3qlh43) and study while doing an internship.
With one of the best global alumni network, you will have great support after graduation. Congratulations once again!
