UCI Is as clueless as we are probably about the budget

Hi Guys! My dad works for Cal State Long Beach and he told me a couple of weeks ago that the budget for the UCs was approved. Since enrollment increased by 20% for the UCs this year they are getting more money!! So knock on wood but I’m pretty hopeful, but I’m still preparing for the worst! Hope this helps!!

Thank you guys for posting everything you hear on this page, you guys are honestly lifesavers. Also my high school released some statistics about where seniors are going/ got accepted into college, and at my school about 70 applied to Irvine, 25 got in and only three are going. So I think this is really good news. And I know of at least two people that didnt even bother putting themselves on the UCI wait list after they got wait listed because they’re going somewhere else. So I think our chances are pretty good.
@mainecoons14 yeah same here!! My school has a lot of people who rejected their acceptance to UCI to attend another school. Probably 5 people from my school have accepted UCI’s acceptance !! Feeling very hopeful

A lot of people at my school SIR’ed to UCSB, UCLA and UCR
I think like only 6 that I know of SIR’ed to UCI
And out of those 6, many of them were waitlisted to other schools which they would much rather attend
At my school most of those that applied to UCI and got in, are going to UCSB/UCD/CalPolySO
WOW seems like we are lucky to be on waitlist this year 
@mmeza14 Sooooo many people are going to SLO from my school, its insane. And UCSD but I live in San Diego so thats probably expected lol
sooo many people at my school are going to ucla and ucb, even ucsc. Btw, i’m also on the waitlist of ucsc, i really want to get off the waitlist from santa cruz because my gf will go there 
btw, nobody is going to uci around me at my school so far i guess this is a good news for us
Same here you guys! The majority of the people at my school are going to Cal, UCLA, and UCSD. I only know 3 people who are for sure going to UCI. Also, my senior class is around 510 people. So I guess it’s a good sign. Just hope for luck!

If we get accepted, I think we will hear in batches mostly may 4-may 8 and then maybe some more acceptances on May 10-12 then rejections near mid may
There are only like two people going to irvine from my school. Like 20 going to cal, ridiculous LOL
