How long between" Reviewed: Decision Pending" and Decision?

Just checked this morning and the status changed (BA Arts) to "Reviewed: Decision Pending". Anyone have any idea how long the final decision takes? a Day? a Week???

Itching to know!

I’ve seen some people say they recieved a decisions week after and others three or four months ago… So your guess is as good as mine. It’s so nerve wracking :(

Did you apply for major entrance scholarship? Just wondering.

no…american student.

Good luck!

I submitted my mid term report yesterday and today I checked it said pending. I don’t know how long I need to wait now. And I don’t know whether its a good sign since that I did not get regected directly … Crossing fingers! Has anyone got pending then got accepted? How long did you wait?

still waiting since that 1st post date of 1/23. mcgill had a big flood this week so that may delay some notifications?

I sumbitted my mid year report yesterday as well but the status is still on “further review required”. Will it first move to “Reviewed: Decision Pending” then give a decision or just skip to the decision? Also, any idea how long that will take?

Additionally, I am an American student, I applied for admission in late November and I did apply for a major entrance scholarship if any of that info changes things

From what i’ve read on the internet and here con college confidential, there are no specifics. It can go from “ready to review” straight to decision made, or to reviewed decision pending and then decision made, it really just depends on the circumstances when they are reviewing your file.

Thanks! Mine just went from “Further Review Required” to “Admitted Pending Final Results” so that means I got in! I’m very excited!

However, I did not get a major entrance scholarship (I wish it said why but it just says “Reason: Not Awarded”) so thats disappointing because I’m not sure I can afford McGill being an American Student. Are you automatically applied for the minor scholarships?

Congratz! Would you like to share your stats? I study in the US too.

I think you could probably call o send an email and ask about why you were not granted the scholarship

Here is a list of each application status and what it means. Some people have been asking…
[Help - Application Status / Aide - Statut de la demande d’admission](Help - Application Status / Aide - Statut de la demande d'admission)

Thanks! I can take for granted that I didn’t get a major entrance scholarship because I didn’t meet all of the criteria (my Math SAT was a 670, 30 points short of the required 700, my total SAT was 20 points short of the required 2100 and I wasn’t in the top 10 of my class though I have heard conflicting things about whether or not that was a requirement) so I’m hoping now for a minor scholarship.

My stats were a 96 GPA, 710 in Reading, 700 Writing, 670 Math, 790 SAT II US History, 670 SAT II World History which are pretty good and I’m still very proud to be admitted

Congrats! to what program did you apply to?

Thanks! I applied to the Faculty of Arts because I want to go for history but I like poly sci and international relations too.

I’m excited now that I’m going to go back up to Montreal to do the “student for a day” thing and try to talk to some people faculty to see if my existing college/AP credits can allow be to go right into my faculty.
