You do not want to be in Unit 4 because it tends to be more expensive and anti-social. The set-up of Unit 4 was made for people who only want to study and have no friends. By the way nothing really happens on north side anyways. Lets just say a lot of people missed the Obama celebrations in the street because everything happens on south side ;) However, Unit 4 would be a good choice if you happen to be an engineer or in the physical sciences. Unit 5 (CK) is not the closest to campus since it is 5 blocks away.

Unit 5 is better than Unit 2. Units 1, 2, and 3 are all like little jail cells. Screw the fact that they are more social than Foothill, at least you have some room to breathe.

If your roommate(s) is/are jerk(s), life in the units could be hell. (My roommate, Arjan, from summer in unit 2 was a mother*ing piece of * who needs to be kicked in the balls a few times)

BTW, Bowles is second cheapest housing option, cheapest are triples, and is one of the most social dorm halls.

Well if you have friends you can always hang out with people you like. The fact is that if you are a very social person you will enjoy the units and if you are a loner who likes to be alone then Unit 4 is perfect. Bowles is nothing but a freaking sausage feast. I knew people in my Chem. lab that lived in Bowles and they said that they hate the fact that nothing is ever happening. If you want jail cells than Bowles is also the place to be. It looks like a dungeon and inside it is nothing but concrete hallways that are confusing. And newsflash not everyone’s roommate is a jerk. It is just a matter of opinion and my opinion is that I love Unit 3.

Bowles offers you the biggest rooms and Foothill and Stern rooms are larger than unit rooms, so no they are not like jail cells, that dishonor is reserved for the units, especially Unit 2.

Bowles is what you make it. The fifth floor is the most active and the most social. Your friends in Bowles probably spent the whole year moping that they didn't get their first choice dorm. Stern, which is less than 5 minutes away, has a larger population (about 300 girls) than Bowles (<200 guys), so between the two their is a 1.5:1 FtM ratio, far better than any of the units. Every week there were SSBM/SSBB tournaments and StarCraft and WarCraft LAN parties.

my point was a *ty roommate in the units is worse than a *ty roommate elsewhere because you have less room to get away from them

"StarCraft and WarCraft LAN parties." - No comment

Not like OP can change his unit assignment...

so i called today...and i was told i was in ida sproul
