How long does it usually take for colleges to recieve documents?

I mailed my transcripts / recs / secondary school report on the night of the 16th and none of the schools have it processed yet.

Including - BC, RPI the only two that i checked, is it too early to call them and ask?

I'm extremely paranoid about them losing it, or getting lost in the mail etc. help!

Not have it processed is not the same as not receiving them. It took one of my schools almost a month to process my transcript. So, yeah...

that's what i'm worried about the most, what if they end up losing it and i find out a month later?

I would call them.
I applied to Texas A&M, and they took about a month to PROCESS my transcript, but on their website they said they have received it couple days after it was sent.

is it possible that it is because the schools are closed during winter break?

It can take some time to process and show that it is actually part of your file, particularly during break when almost no one is working. There is a very high probability that if it was mailed it will actually reach its destination and eventually be processed and shown as in your file. You can call if you want but likiely answer you will get now (if anyone answers) is that it takes time to process and check back after first of year.

Also, here is what really happens if something other than app is not received and there is Jan deadline: sometime after the deadline likely in late Jan, you will receive a notice that something has not been received and that you need to get it in quickly (in other words, you have an automatic grace period).
