How long until acceptance letter?

I thought we would be notified within a couple weeks. I am a Top 10% and applied on Aug. 1 and still no word. The blue box on my EID says, "We've received all the items needed to review your application for admission. Once we reach a decision you'll be notified by mail and your decision will be posted on this page." Is it because I haven't completed the honors application?

I looked at last years' threads but couldn't determine when acceptances went out. Has anyone been accepted yet for fall '10?

I found out in mid-to-late September.

no, you can find out before or after you complete the honors application, otherwise how would they inform those that didn’t even apply for honors in the first place lol, but yeah it should really not take much longer than 6-8 weeks for the main application but it can take a while for the honors application, (8-12 weeks)…well plan II was good about getting me a rejection letter before new years, (i finished on halloween) and LAH got me an acceptance letter in jan/feb…i forgot the exact time. GOOD LUCK!

I got my regular acceptance letter before I got my honors letter. I actually got the regular acceptance letter before my teacher submitted the required recommendation letter for the honors app.

Thank you.

nunya, noone I know has gotten the word yet. My supposition is that many of the admissions people are currently travelling and visiting schools at this point of the year.

They definitely aren’t in the crunch time of decsion making, so it may be a bit.

It’s hard to be patient! I know my son has checked every day also, but I just keep telling him that he’s in and to stop thinking about it - that’s one positive bi-product of the top 10% rule.

I got accepted to the College of Liberal Arts before I wrote my essays .

anybody applying spring 2010 freshman in top 10% hear anything back yet?

ag54 - true. No frantic driving all over the state and then some. No stressing over a half dozen applications. No pacing and wringing of hands that no one will accept you. Just apply at your dream school and wait.
