<p>I know Brandeis has a really low-maintenance vibe where students go to classes in their pajamas, etc. I’m coming from a highschool where it’s normal for girls to dress up and wear some makeup even if the class starts in the morning and I’m kind of used to this mentality. Is it a bad idea to keep doing this in Brandeis? Will I stick out like a sore thumb?</p>
<p>Honestly, don’t sweat it-- if you wake up and feel like wearing make-up and dressing up a little for the day, go for it. There tends to be a laid-back vibe around campus, but it’s not like I’ve ever been called out or felt out of place in lecture for wearing a nice skirt to class. That also doesn’t mean to say that everyone looks like slobs during the schoolweek; sure, sweatpants are a normal occurrence, but the vast majority of the students don’t walk around looking haphazard. </p>
<p>Bottom line, dress however you want to.</p>
