I'm an international student living in Japan and wanting to go to the top colleges of America. For instance, MIT. Since I have a great interest in computer science.
I'm still 15 years old ( I think that makes me the first year in American high schools.) but I'm studying hard and willing to demenstrate my power.
And then I found that American students take AP. I haven't taken it yet but I'm planning to .
So what I want to ask is that how many AP exams do you need to take to be rewarded the International AP scholar????

On the College Board it says
"International AP Scholar

Granted to the one male and one female student attending a school outside the U.S. and Canada that is not a DoDEA school with the highest average grade on the greatest number of AP Exams. The minimum requirement is a grade of 3 or higher on three exams. "

The chances of winning the international AP scholar are slim to none. It's probably up in the 20+ range of exams with an average of 5 on all of them.

well, my state's scholar person had around 24 ap exams with most of them being a 5. i do live in a relatively large state with a lot of people, but its still just one state. seeing how competitive the international pool can be, i would think that the international scholars would have taken most (upper 20's as llpitch said) of the ap's available. it would be ridiculously difficult to accomplish
