How many AP Courses is too many?

I’m taking 4 AP classes next year, plus one honors class. I’m also doing varsity soccer and working in my final volunteer hours for graduation. Will that be too much work, plus college applications?

Edit:
AP US Government
AP English Literature
AP German Language
AP Statistics
Honors Physics

It depends. For some students it’s fine; for others, they struggle with one. Nobody here knows what type of student you are.

In part, it also depends upon which AP classes. Govt and Stats are not generally considered overly difficult, but that varies by school.

The good news is that you are aware that you will need to devote time to college applications.

When it comes to difficulty of APs, your high school may play a part too. For example, APGov at my high school was notoriously difficult, but AP Stats was a snooze. But that’s not the case everywhere…something to keep in mind.

Otherwise, it looks like a solid schedule.
