anybody have an idea?

I second that. Is it a real waitlist or a WashU waitlist?

I dont think NU's waitlist is as bad as WashU's.... but yeah, im on the waitlist too. This sucks.

Waitlisted too...

Me tooooooooo

me too, but I got in my #1 choice Stanford so I'll be withdrawing. hah

yeah i got waitlisted also, i dont really care, i got into Berkeley

i honestly didnt think i was going to get into either place

son was waitlisted and is probably going to USC. He could not decide which to go anyway and felt it was a tie between the two schools. Looks like the decision was made for him :)

hmmm...i was waitlisted. I was a bit suprised...until i remember that i forgot to turn in an application for the intergrated science program (ISP)...which i gave as like the sole reason in my "why NU" essay lol....

then i go and miss the app deadline for ISP -__-

I'm waitlisted as well. I'll be honest and say that I was surprised to get waitlisted and was slightly disappointed as well considering that NU was my top choice, but I still remain optimistic. This is merely overtime. This is where we go clutch.

It says on the NU site that the number of people admitted has varied from 0 to 200 in the past 5 years...
so does that mean we should go ahead and accept an offer from another school since we dont find out for sure till june 20th? this really really sucks

My advice is stay on the list if you want but plan on going somewhere else. If NU calls and the financial aid is still there then you can explain the waitlist call to the second school.

Get excited about the school you will attend and put NU behind.

What are the chances of getting off the waitlist? I applied to McCormick and I think NU is my first choice. I'll probably choose between Michigan Engineering and Hopkins Engineering.

Aside from simply sending a letter to further emphasize why we feel we belong at Northwestern, what are other things that we can do to help our cause?
