How many finals is everyone taking?

I'm taking 6....which is definitely 1 of the highest in the grade/school.

Spanish 4
Italian 3 (regents)
physics (regents)
american (regents)
health
pre-calculus

ahhh....im going to die studying for all of these!!

Does this include AP and IB exams? If so, I took 10 exams this year (36 hours, 15 min of testing all told). Since all my classes are AP/IB, I don't have to take any final exams. Yay for getting out 4 days early! :D

Haha.... I took six classes, and I only have ONE final to take- US History.

Lit- we have electives during the third trimester, so we took our "final" back in March at the end of the normal course.
Calc, Physics, and Spanish are all AP courses, so no final.
European History was a course for seniors (only 3 juniors were in the class), so once the seniors left for Senior Project, our class ended and we have no final.

Yeah, my schedule worked out pretty nice.

ONE! Latin 3.

I hate our Latin program. Since the last teacher left (who was brilliant, might I add), we have a terrible teacher. She's bigoted and extremely ignorant. Everyone gives her a hard time.

And our Latin exam is on GREEK. -_____-

All my academic subjects were APs this year and those exams were my "finals." They were AP Biology, European History, and Art History. I also had a final presentation for my arts seminar, a final paper for theatre lit, and a final scene study project. Yay for being gradumacated though I'm already going stir crazy.

ya i had 2 ap's in addition to the 6 other finals I will be taking, so technically I had 8.

I have two papers due for my last quarter: One 25-35 pager and a 10-15 pager.

This is better than last quarter. One 60-100 pager and two 10-15 pagers. Love college!

My largest paper was 25 pages (my IB Extended Essay).

60-100 pages?!?!?!
Do you staple or paper clip it? (jk)

I don't have any finals - I'm exempt because I either have an A in all my classes or took the AP exam...or a combination thereof.

It's kind of nice to just sit home and not have to study this week.

seriously, 60-100 pages? wow.....

zero finals. :-) Since I took AP tests, and other classes dont have finals, im happy!

Wednesday: Sports Medicine Final
Thursday: Spanish Final
Friday: Precalculus Final

Adding in the AP test for European history, my schedule looks pretty easy compared to all you guys who took like 10 finals. I'm only a sophomore though so I imagine I will have a lot more next year when I'm a junior.

That was my senior thesis, and it was bound.

Welcome to college, seniors!

damn a thesis.....3 years and i'll have to see one of those too :(

I had...umm...4 finals?? yeah that's right...Greek/Roman Myth (took literally 15 minutes)....Government (18 minutes)....Physics and Chemistry, which actually required a lil bit of effort.....so basically i had it easy this semester.... last semester i had 2 deathly research papers....one based on this book on the Rwandan genocide, which was about 400 pages long and that i hadn't started til 3 days before the paper was due, because i figured i'd find a summary online...hah...that didnt' happen.........the other on Catch-22 comparing Orr to a Zen Master and Yossarian to a Zen student and then relating the overall book to the concepts of Zen Buddhism....that was a fun one...not....not to mention a killer Calc final (considering the class was on the computer [ not with an online teacher...online explanations of concepts...basically...you read an online textbook and learn yourself])....wow i'm gonna hate junior and senior years.

Zero, even with my two AP classes because my school counts the AP exam as the final. Heres the policy at my school

ELECTIVE CLASSES

A student may exempt an elective exam if:

1. Student has made an “A” grade both nine weeks

Student has had no referrals resulting in a Saturday School (Class II or above), In-School Suspension, or Out of School Suspension.

Student has satisfactory citizenship in all classes.

CORE ACADEMIC CLASSES*

A student may exempt a core academic exam either 1st OR 2nd semester if:

1. Student has made an “A” grade both nine weeks

 1. Student has no referrals resulting in a Saturday School (Class II or above),

In-School Suspension, or Out-of-School Suspension.

Student has satisfactory citizenship in all classes.

AP courses are exempt from this policy and follow current Board policy.

*Core Academic Subjects are those in English, Math, Social Studies, Science, and Foreign Language.

precalc and honors english. not too bad, last semester i had 6.

I have none, I took the two AP exams for bio and English, and since I'm a senior and have above a 93 in all my other classes I don't have to take finals.

zero! (see carbfreenoodles - school has similar policy) w00t

ya, unfortunately in my school we are not exempt from a final even if we have an "A". If so, I wouldn't have to take half of my finals (the other half are regents - mandatory)

three - spanish, bc calc, and physics. i got out of all the rest thanks to ap tests and SOLs.

oh yeah, i have to take an exam in chorus as well. that'll be a toughie.
