how many internationals are applying to Upenn this year under regular?

I'm applying too - currently trying to finish my Penn supplement.

2 applicants from Switzerland... I truly hope I am the only one applying from my country :D

uhm, I'm applying from Switzerland but not Swiss, that would make a difference. I'm sure there are so many other applicants who are Korean.

tin, which canton are you living in? you're not attending a public school, are you? (I would PM you but it looks like you deactivated this option..)

I'm in Geneva, attening an international school. Zurich would have been a much better place for me, can't understand French...Rister_Chutophs, did you have an interview for Brown? I had an alumni interview for Brown and the interviewer was from Zurich. Oh sorry, going off topic here, completely!

hey. all my international friends, applying for financial aid could seriously hurt your chances....I'm international, i applied early to the Jerome Fisher M&T dual degree program and got deferred....if i applied for aid i would automatically have gotten rejected, just like my friend who applied for aid, and his SAT score was slightly higher than mine....i just hope a lotta international students apply for aid so it gives me an edge over them :D

I just found out that I'm not applying for financial aid...seriously need to talk more with my parents. but anyway, I sent the admissions office saying that I would like to change it, not planning to apply for financial aid. Then it should be alright, I hope?

i dont think so..i have a PDF document from Penn's website about international students and it says that u cant first say ur applying for aid and then later say that ur not gonna do so cuz its "the only way to ensure fairness in the process"

but what are they going to do if I don't send the financial aid form?? And all the other universities (well the other ones I'm applying to) let you change it, why not Penn??

actually you should email them or call them and ask, i was just telling you what i read from a PDF file from the website

hey all international applicants, do u guys know whether or not a lotta other international applicants are applying for aid at U Penn???

one more from my high school is applying there
i believe more than one excluding me
there are lots from nepal and all for aid though.
And quagmire, why are u posting everything twice?

me
Chinese Canadian need aid

Wharton =)

yihan ur canadian so Penn is need blind for u....you will get lotta aid for sure...wat about the other internationals from asia, europe etc =(

stop obsessing about it quag_mire

uhmm yes, I think you should stop worrying about it. If you're applying for aid then do it, if you don't need it, don't.

my freind from indonesia applied to wharton , NO AID, he got rejected...i thought he would get deferred if not accpeted, but not outright rejected....its a scary thought that even internationals who dont apply for aid get rejected....

did any internationals receive some notification about their materials??? Like an email or letter saying that they have received all items...
