How many of Harvard admits worked at McDonald's?

I was just at McDonalds and I thought, "Hmmm... I wonder how many people that went or are attending Harvard right now worked at McDonald's at one point in their life."

Sooo.... did you work at McDonald's?

Firstly, it’s very unlikely that a current student will venture on here and affirm that he/she worked at McDonald’s. Secondly, the admissions office doesn’t tabulate the McDonald’s work experience statistics of those admitted so unfortunately you will not be receiving a specific answer to the inquiry that titles this thread.

However, for the sake of saying something relevant, it shouldn’t be that uncommon for current students to have worked a rather mundane job at some point during their lives. I have worked on landscape construction during the greater part of the past three summers.

No McDonald’s in our family, but not because we are too proud. My daughter just never happened to get hired by McDonald’s.

There is no reason to think that Harvard students won’t take humble jobs to earn extra money. My daughter worked in the booths at the county fair one summer. Heck, she also still did some babysitting for neighbors even after she had been at Harvard for a couple of years. Nothing wrong with honest work to earn money for college.

I worked at Dunkin’ Donuts for 4 years. Not the same as McDonalds though, to be fair.

I’m not saying that working at McDonald’s is a bad thing or that I wanted to get a statistic about it. I just wanted to take a quick poll on collegeconfidential and see how many people responded with a yes/no/heck yea/ heck no!.

“I worked at Dunkin’ Donuts for 4 years. Not the same as McDonalds though, to be fair.”

P.S. @ Dwight

Have you heard that Palin joke?

When asked about clean energy and America’s oil consumption, SP responded by saying, “America runs on Dunkin’!” haha.
