How many people get their first/second/third choice housing?

I know that they chose by enrollment deposit date, and my roommate submitted hers like the beginning of April, I was just wondering how likely it would thus be to get our first, second, or third choice: North, South, Max P. I really don’t want any other dorm.

You’ll probably get South. Hard to say how many people get get placed in a dorm they didn’t ask for, but it isn’t the end of the world if you end up somewhere you think you don’t want.

I imagine the people that made up their minds or came off the wait list around the end of April end up in Stony Island.

@CU123 only if they say they really want a double. It’s mostly I-House, I think - and South is rarely filled all the way up these days.

@coolcheesebagel This should allay your concerns. My D deposited on May 1 at 3 pm (several years ago) and got her third choice. (Reallllly indecisive.)

Thanks for the responses! What was her third choice? @momzhood

@coolcheesebagel Her third choice was Breckinridge, after Snitch and BJ. A small dorm of about 95 students comprising one house. Breckinridge (the building) was closed and Breckinridge (the house) was moved to IHouse this year. She loved it. You’re looking at large dorms so I think you’ll be fine.

I think it’s very likely you will get one of the 3. Those are all very large dorms and lots of double rooms.
