Hi,
I am interested in Northwestern and Yale as my reach schools, and am keeping my eye on when to take subject tests. I was planning on taking SAT II Subject Test and the Lit Subject test junior year most likely after school ends. I understand the schools listed about do not require any subject tests.
In general, is it better to take three subject tests? I really only want to take these two, but if more is better then I would like to know. Thanks for the help.
As far as I know, only Georgetown wants to see three subject tests. You should take the ones that are the strongest subjects for you. It can be helpful to show versatility - for example, one humanities and one math/science. However, if you are interested in engineering or computer science or have aspirations for a competitive tech-oriented school, then Math II plus a hard science is often recommended.
@Tristan2001 Earlier today I was reviewing the thread with stats for students who were admitted early decision at Harvard. There were a number of students who had just two SAT subject test results. I recommend going to the Yale 2022 thread and scan the data for admitted students.
