How many students apply to college saying they OWN a business?

<p>Just curious... is that a common thing? Here on CC i found like 5 students who started a business and makes descent money. Is it a common thing? How many people apply talking about their business? What schools do they apply to?</p>

<p>More than you can imagine. Having worked in admissions I can tell you that few were anything that impressed the committee.</p>

<p>I’m curious. What does impression a college admission officers. I’m not talkinga bout top notch Ivies, but UC system schools? Do they even weigh it high?</p>
