Just wondering. Also post your grade and course. =)

I'm taking Geometry in 8th.

Just wondering. Also post your grade and course. =)

I'm taking Geometry in 8th.

I can't count that high. ;)

When my brother was in 2nd grade, he took 6th grade math (right before pre algebra). Needless to say, he's now a math major :).

I'm two years ahead, at my school at least.

I'm not sure what do you mean under my 'grade level'.
I've studied math all the way up to the 7th grade in 3rd grade.
In Ukrainian system though, 7th grade is mandatory the cartesian coordinates, transformations, and basic geometry (w/o proofs). There is also a lot of practice in huge fractional equations and I mean HUGE fractional equations :)) and other I-don't-quite-remember stuff.
Then I opened book on 8th grade algebra but after seeing quadratic formulas I was scared and quickly closed it and haven't returned to the topic for a while :)))

What to now, I'm studying all together linear algebra and differential equations on my own (quantum physics requires a lot of linear algebra) but officially I'm in Calculus AB in 10th grade.

Calculus BC in 12th

I took Geo in the 8th, Algebra 2 in 9th, Math Analysis (Pre-Pre Calculus) in 10th, Pre-Calculus in 11th

yep. AP Calculus BC in 12th...

Calculus BC in 10th. I'm pretty much done with math here, but I'm taking Linear Algebra this year, and probably Discrete Math next year. But as far as I know, those courses can be taken at just about any level.

Multivariable Calculus (and maybe Linear Algebra) as a senior --> two years ahead (right?)

junior, multivariable

Mmmm... AB Calculus as a junior... how many years is that?

I think that's .5 cause Calc AB is first semester college math.

I'm a year and a half ahead of my grade, but so is evryone else in our honors courses. And there's no AP math classes in tenth for us.

took pre-calc and discrete math as a freshman, taking calc bc and ap stats as a sophomore :) i think that's 3-ish - 4?

everyone*(10 char)

AP Calculus AB in 12th grade. Did trignometry in 8th grade.

Our standard here is precalc in 12th, but only three math credits are required so most stop at Algebra II. I'm a junior in Calc AB, so that makes two, but I self-studied through BC and Stat as a sophomore, so who knows.

Isn't this the like standard math for grade level in the US?

9th Grade: Pre-Algebra
10th Grade: Geometry
11th Grade: Algebra II
12th Grade: Pre-Calc

At least that's what it is where I live. Or you could take Algebra in 8th, like I did be 1 year head.

I believe our standard here is AB Calc. by 12th, or a higher majority finish Pre-Calc.

The standard is

8th - Pre-Algebra
9th - Algebra I
10th - Geometry
11th - Algebra II
12th - Pre-Calculus
College first year - Single-variable Calculus (equivalent to AP Calculus BC)
College after - Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Number Theory, Differential Equations, etc

However, it's very common for honors students to be placed into Pre-Algebra in seventh grade and end up in Calculus by 12th grade.
