how much AP summer work do you have?

AP Euro... read A World Lit Only by Fire and answer a huge packet of questions that go with it, map packet, read and outline chapter in textbook on Italian Renaissance, and read/answer questions on a few other articles.

AP Chem... Read four textbook chapters and answer about 70 book questions.
Okay, it could be worse.

I didn't get many :O I'm worried b/c last year no one told me about the US History assignment and I had to read 6 chapters of A People's History... the first night, and do work for 3 chapters of our textbook.

Still have to read Crime and Punishment, find out if there's AP Gov stuff (which I haven't actually signed up for yet!), possibly none for Calc BC, Comp Sci, and Physics C.

3 books for ap eng (native son, grapes of wrath, ordinary people) and take notes for test and essay
outline of last chapter in ap euro book
review of freshmen year bio for test first week of school for ap bio

I finished my summer reading at the beginning of summer and saved everything else..until now :(..with 2 weeks left until school. So, I have to read 5 chapters of my AP Biology book, take notes, and prepare for a test on the first day of school. For English I just have to write a 3 page essay...but I'll manage :).

i have to read a book for AP English Lit and I think our Euro teacher hinted that we ought to read a certain book over the summer. So just 2 books...very little. i am however also prepping for one of my harder AP classes, but nothing too exhausting

O and uhh..yea ur gettin ripped of cause TI-89 Titanium sells for 150 or maybe 155-160 MAX...(Alot of places sell it for 155 though..i ve never seen anybody sell it for 160.. and i think i bought mine for 150) ..and thats wat u should get cause TI-92 (One with keyboard ) and voyage 200 (newer one with keyboard) arent ALLOWED on the Collegeboard tests (because of the keyboard)....in that case u are absolutoly screwd..

Muchas gracias for the quoting and TI-89 help. Definately will pick up an 89 in the near future, and I'll make sure to tell the people who are selling the darn calculator that they're ripping me off. Loudly. Heh.

My calc AB teacher is trying to get kids to drop out so she gave us 28 pages of free response questions and she recommends that we write an short essay explaining our approach to each problem. ugh

I don't have any homework for AP classes and Im taking 4. However, I do have some summer reading for advanced English. I finished the reading the first week of summer but I don't actually have the journal I was supposed to do when reading the books done... Yeah I know... bad

Two years ago I didn't finish my summer homework until 3AM the morning before school started. That was special. LOL

Eh, I have to read 10 books. I havent started yet. School starts the 21st, I better get started lol.

See?!?! This is what I'm always talking about. Though I guess technically I'm lucky that I get little work, I feel robbed of an education!

I just had to read Edith Hamilton's Mythology and do some analyzing, just 25 "notebook entries." (By the way, it's not the kind of book one reads for pleasure)

Thes books are boring. I have to read 6 for Enviornmental Science. 2 for AP English, 1 for AP US History, and 1 for AP Gov't. Boy I better get to work.

Last year, I had to read a book by Thomas Hardy and another book of an approved reading list for English Lit. I also had to do about 10 million (really, a few hundred) problems from about 7 different book chapters for Chem.

you get summer homework for chem?! I am not taking
it yet

It varies by school. For us, it was sort of necessary, since we seemed to go really slowly throughout the year. I'm sure if it'd been speeded up in the year we wouldn't have had to do so much work over the summer.

u got ap summer work? hah. =P

stupak

Did you not read the title of the thread?

i iz illiterate =P

Honestly, I'd rather have summer work and be further prepared than having nothing and playing catch up later.

I'm only taking one class, the only one offered to sophmores: AP government/politics....this is my assignment:

Read John Lockes two treatisies of government and write a synopsis on his theory of natural law
Research the Age of Enlightenment/Reason and write a 2 page report explaining the time period's effect on the history of the western world
Make an outline of chapter one of the old textbook the class used to use

...not too bad, if you ask me
