Hi i just took the act n got a 27 which i am not proud of....i have a year till i take my next one...
I am a very good student and
How much do you think i can improve this score? If i study hard all summer n still study in school time but not as much? Thanks

Can someone please answer?

well usually u increase 2-3 points just because the first time you were nervous, not used to the environment, or even ran out of time. Given that, if you don’t do anything i would expect a 29-30 the second time. If you study extra, I’m sure you can get a 32.

My score went up 5 points in a year, so I’m sure if you work at it, your score can go up too.

I took the ACT in December of my sophomore year and got a 28. I just took the one in April as a Junior and got a 33.

Basically, a year really does make you smarter. That, and I took out loads of prep books from the library and took an ACT prep class.

yeah i would say time is a factor in score improvement.
i took is as a sophomore and got a 26.
next time, the winter of my junior year, i knew what to expect. i looked at some study materials, only lightly, and got a 30. i took the very next ACT and studied a bit harder and i was able to get a 32.
so its really just about repetition and time.

Get a good review book and study. It’s really the only way to improve.

So, if I got a 29.5 my first ever practice (ran out of time on like 10 questions in math and science), then I could get a 32 possibly?

Usually when you take it again your score improves two to three points.
So study hard. Take as many practice tests as you can. Read as many prep books as you can.
The three I suggest you get for sure are …
The Real ACT
The Prinston Review
and Barron’s ACT 36

&& yes you could get a 32 if you mannage your time.

A 32 is doable with a lot more practice. Get a good review book, like one from those listed in the post above mine.
