How much can I raise a 3.22 GPA by college application time?

I am currently in Junior year 2nd semester. I messed up my first semester Junior year and now have a 3.22 UW GPA. If I take an extra AP class online now and an AP class online over the summer AND get straight A’s and A-'s second semester Junior year (this current semester)+straight A’s first senior semester, what is the MOST i can raise my gpa? is a 3.4 possible by the time college apps come along?

My current schedule:
AP English Language and Composition
Honors Latin American History
Regular Pre-Calc
Regular Chemistry
(elective) orchestra
(elective) Cultural Anthropology (this is a 1 semester class-I took regular Psych last semester)

my school does not weight gpa

PLEASE PLEASE help me with an estimate of how much my GPA can be raised.

Thank you

This depends on your school’s policy. Some schools do not count online or summer courses towards GPA, and just show them on your transcript. But if you get straight As, as in a 4.0 unweighted for single every class for the next two semesters, you will be able to get it up to just over a 3.4.

Talk to your guidance counselor.

Or create a simple spreadsheet, enter your existing grades, and project forward.

To be clearer – The question for the GC is do online classes and summer classes count towards the GPA or not – the practice varies from school to school and should be discussed with the GC.

Also keep in mind that college applications are due before senior year first semester grades come out, so you only have this semester and potentially online and summer classes. As @happy1 points out, you need to know your school’s policies in this regard.

Just don’t become that student who teachers know are only concerned about the grade instead of learning and being a helpful part of the classroom. That hurts your reputation and can poison LORs.

Like what koreanstudent said, you can get your GPA just above 3.4

take classes at a local community classes. They will raise your gpa (they are counted as AP)

^^^^ Not every HS includes community college classes in the GPA calculation. Again, talk to your GC.
