<p>I got 10,000 renewable from the college, 3,000 renewable from a local scholarship, 500 renewable from the honors college, and a 1,000 wal-mart one.
How about you?</p>
<p>I got $2500 in local scholarships and the $2500 Horatio Alger Missouri Scholarship.</p>
<p>I got over 19000 from the college, 500 from a local scholarship, 1000 from National Merit, and 500 from my high school, grand total 21000.</p>
<p>I won $9000 in local scholarships, $1500 from my high school, $2500 in National Scholarships, and $3500 from writing/essay contests.</p>
<p>Grand Total=$16,500. </p>

<p>I got a $125,000 merit scholarship (college) and about $15,000 in outside scholarships total to be used over four years.</p>
<p>D Received Over 285,000 In Total Scholarships Offered,accepted 62,000 Merit From College And Over 23,000 In Outside Scholarships. She Completed Numerous Applications And Was Most Successful With Local/regional Scholarships.</p>
<p>Six outside scholarships -- $47,500. Ron Brown, Horatio Alger Florida, and other local awards.</p>
<p>I got $128,000 from college, another $24,000 from GMS and $2000 from best buy</p>
<p>woah! txrunnerj, how would your daughter spend all the moneys? No college cost 285K for four years, does the extra money go to you?</p>
<p>HAHA!!! SORRY....that was the total OFFERED which includes six schools, she only received 62,000 merit from the school she chose to attend and an additional 23,000 from outside awards.</p>
<p>a little over 8 thousand so far, mostly local ones that are 1 to 2 thousand dollars.</p>
<p>$4,500 from Rutgers - that's it so far. Some scholarships I'm waiting on still.</p>

<p>Ok this is what I have so far...from scholarships and this is not including the university scholarship or any state grants I got offered:</p>
<p>Walmart Scholarship:1,000 (non renewable)
San Antonio Partnership:1,000 per yr. (a local scholarship-renewable)
Rocco C. Cafferelli: 2,000 per yr. (A local privately funded Scholarship-renewable)
Gates Millenium Scholars Scholarship:8,265 per yr.*(Funded by a grant from Bill Gates-renewable,award amount varies depending on financial aid package..covers unmet need which qualifies as loans and work-study)
San Antonio Truck and Equipment Scholarship: 4,500 (non-renewable, may change though..this is through my dad's job and is offered to the families that have children going to college)</p>
<p>So I have a total of: $25,765 in scholarship money (this total includes the total of the renewable scholarships)</p>
<p>My other total: $16,765 in scholarship money (this total doesn't include the total of the renewable scholarships) This is how much money I have my freshman year!</p>
<p>I applied for over 27 scholarships - wrote over 45 essays: Results for the next 4 years:

Awesome. I hated the time spent working on it. Complained everytime. But the results were amazing. Even made me somewhat a local celeb. I learned a lot. Hopefully inspired others. And of course, thank God everyday.</p>

<p>Skandalaris Family Foundation Scholarship: $2,000 scholarship</p>
<p>Principals Leadership Award: school finalist: chosen as one student out of the entire senior class; national finalist: a $1,000 scholarship from the National Association of Secondary School Principals</p>
<p>California Scholarship Federation Charles and Marian Seymour Memorial Awards finalist: one of nine finalists from the CSF South region; winner of a $1, 250 scholarship</p>
<p>San Clemente Area Republican Women, Federated Scholarship: $1,000 scholarship</p>
<p>Orange County Teachers Federal Credit Union (OCTFCU) Member Education Award: $500 scholarship</p>
<p>California Unified Education Association Scholarship: $1,000 scholarship</p>
<p>Governors Scholarship: $1,000 awarded for superb scores on the California STAR test</p>
