I was accepted to Princeton with a 3.9 GPA (a few Bs, the rest As). This semester, I have two As, two B, and three Cs…which is a 2.8 GPA average. Will this cause my acceptance to be rescinded? Do i need to keep all As and Bs?
Also, do I just need to graduate/pass or will the grades I get this semester affect me somehow later on in college. For example, if I’m trying to get an internship with a professor, will they ask for high school transcripts or something like that where I really need the straight As to be competitive?
I’d talk to your guidence counselor. I don’t think your acceptance will be rescinded but they could put provisions on…etc
It really isn’t the rescinded part that I’m worried about but how this can affect me in the future. Will high school grades ever need to be submitted for college things like if I was applying to be part of a club or something idk.
I would be a little concerned about your drop in grades. I’m not sure what Princeton will do, but frankly, three Cs is fairly significant given your previous average. I would strongly suggest you try and raise them before final grades come out.
In general, college clubs would not require your high school grades.
