How much do subscores matter?

<p>Let's say you get a good composite, like 2250, but one subsection is much weaker than the other two. Say you got an 800 reading and 800 writing, but a 650 math. Does that look bad? Does it warrant a third retake?</p>

<p>I'm applying as a humanities major and don't intend to do anything math/science related, if that makes a difference.</p>

<p>Honestly, I don’t think it would matter in your case. A 650 in math is still above average, and the 800’s in the other subjects are obviously good.</p>
