i make abt $8/hr (RMB 50) at my internship. work in the marketing department of an engineering company here in Beijing, China!
nice pay for doing little!

^ That sounds cool. What exactly do you do?

I would freaking kill for a job. I've applied to 7 places, asked at a few more, and NO ONE is hiring- including the places that have help wanted signs out front. My mom just spent 30 minutes lecturing me on how I should've applied more places earlier.gaaaaaah.

jk_91, just contacting various other companies if they need our products. since i'm a pakistani in china, it's an advantage for them as i can explore the pakistani market for them

$13.65 as a reservations clerk at a hotel. It's a really ritzy place, so I get paid breaks, a paid lunch, lunch is provided for me, and I get commission on all the rooms I sell.

$18 an hour working as a Water Safety Instructor for the American Red Cross. (I teach all of the kids learn-to-swim classes)

I get 60 yuan an hour for teaching English in China. (I'm here for the summer vacation)
That's equivalent to about 8-9 American dollars. Not bad, for my first job.

3BB/100 ($48/hr)
grinding myself to a boring death playing $8/$16 and $10/$20 limit holdem on FullTiltPoker with rakeback.
I used to think poker would be a fun job, now I fantasize about carrying golf clubs.

EDIT: And while this often seems good to my friends when I tell them, I remind them that they never come back from their jobs with less money than they started with, $48/hr is an average, again if you're not already good at poker I don't recommend picking it up. = - )
