hahaha lol i cant even imagine christmas on the beach.

Neither can I. It might be cool the first year but after that I’d be like I need some snow! Stat!

Haha, sleep. That’s a good one.

Maybe 3-4 hours a night? And that’s if there are no tests the next day.

I didn’t sleep a wink last night - had an exam at 8 AM. Came home and just collapsed for 4 hours like an immovable rock.

You’re all much more capable than I am. Of everything. Especially sleep deprivation.

Apparently Julius Caesar trained himself to live on 4 hours a night?

how you guys function without sleep is beyond me…

4-5 hours a night, but if I’m really stressed, it ends up being 2-3 hours. Then, 6 hours on the weekends…:)

I get 7 or 8 hours of sleep during the weekdays, and 10 or 11 on weekends. But, if it were possible for me to go to sleep at 10 everyday, then I would get nine hours, every day, including weekends. Nine hours is ideal for me. If I get any less I feel terrible, which is basically how I feel every day :(

@golden and everyone else who’s sleeping only a few hours a night

How are you all doing it?! Tell me the secret of your ways so that I too may become a superhuman.

For real, I’m getting 6 hours a night and I already can’t function at all.

6-8 hrs, usually around 7. If I get less than 7 hours of sleep I nap during class. I just can’t function when I’m tired. On weekends, maybe 9-10. I would sleep in more, but my mom insists on waking me up at 9. -__-

@renoverchat: I’ve gotten that question from a few of my classmates as well, but honestly, I’ve always been able to function without much sleep. It’s just a part of who I am! So I don’t really have any miracle formula…maybe some other light sleepers can shed light to this issue! :)

A girl in my grade sleeps from 3PM to 11PM and then starts her homework when she wakes up at 11 and stays up until school starts at 7:20 the next day! She’s half-nocturnal… but she looks horrible because her sleep schedule is so out of wack. Plus, the brain is naturally inclined to want to sleep when it is dark and stay awake when there is light, so she’s losing productivity. She still amazes me though.

I usually get about 3-5 hours of sleep during the week. I catch up on my sleep on the weekend by sleeping until like 12 or 1.

It’s sometimes hard waking up, but other times I’m not even tired. Last night I got 3 hours and I wasn’t even tired this morning.

It usually hits me after school though, which eventually leads to me taking a nap.

Usually 5-6 hours on weekdays. It varies: on a really good day, I’ll get 7, maybe 8 hours, and if there’s a huge project/essay due the next day, or if I’ve just been procrastinating really badly, then about 3 or 4. (Actually, what I sometimes do is go to sleep at 11 and wake up at 2 or 3 to finish a project.) I find that I can’t function at all the next day if I get less than 3, and even with 4-6 hours, I often find myself napping in classes or when after school…

On weekends I usually get 7-9. I’d love to sleep in some more, but there’s always work to be done…

2-4 hours on school days and 8-10 hours on weekends. My weekend sleep schedule is all over the place

Sheesh, @goldenratio, you’re my age! Do your teachers assign mega-homework loads or something?
I wish I could sleep more on the weekends, but we have lovely (not!) 6 AM swim practices. The coach is always more awake than we are. Sundays start a bit later, but we still have to jump in the freezing water and work our butts off on a Sunday morning when we’d much rather be zzz’ing.
I think I get around 7-8 hrs of sleep but I take a really long time to fall asleep, then sleep through severe snoozes of my alarm clock.

@sg12909: No…I just don’t fall asleep early. I spend most of my time drawing/sketching. I have dance early in the mornings on weekends, and then late in the night on weekdays; maybe that’s another reason why I sleep little. I just adapted, I suppose.

But it’ll definitely help me in high school, IMO!

7-8 hours on weekdays, and 9 hours on weekend
I get so irritated though so I end up sleeping through class, usually right before lunch

@renoverchat Honestly, I just kind of got used to it. Now I can’t fall asleep before midnight without waking up ~an hour later.

10:30-7:30. Sometimes, I stay up 30 min to 2 hours a night because my brain suffers from retardation.
