I am not talking about cost of education or money for meal plans at cafeteria, don't include them. How much money do you usually spen on movies/parties/going out to dinners/eating off-campus/some other stuff? And please put your gender because obviously girls much more than guys. Thank you.
P.S.: if you can, could you write on what exactly do you spend money, thanks

...how exactly would girls be much more than guys? Guys have to pay for everything!

Lets not argue about it, ok? I just know how much my girl friends spend and how much guy friends spend, especially when it comes to clothing/deodorants/perfume/lipsticks/chopsticks and so on. And second, guys don't have to pay for everything. They should sometimes, but they don't have to

I think Irbis means that girls shop more often, which is not always true.

I'm looking forward to reading this thread, as I am going to have $200 per month to budget in college.

It's very rare if I spend $25 in a week. I take advantage of stuff that's on campus, don't have a car, don't eat out much, and hardly ever buy clothes. I also don't wear make-up. I'm a girl.

Around $30 a week or so. Once in a while a lot more and once in a while absolutely none. Really depends. But I do I've spent more than enough on fast food so far.

Okay... well that is one thing... you didnt include clothes and such in your normal post and were just talking about going out stuff which as you said... guys dont have to pay for... but still do at least more than girls. But yeah... if you include all that stuff like clothes and everything then it evens out some.

I spend like... maybe $5.

I haven't seen a good movie in forever, so I don't waste my money on those. I hardly ever go out to eat, because it makes me feel like I'm double paying for meals. Actual party parties shouldn't really cost money, unless you're the one throwing them. If you want to hang out with your friends, in which case you would be buying the drinks, then it costs more, but you shouldn't have to get that much.

I don't really shop...

I spend about $15 on gas. Every so often I get clothes, typically a $50 shirt each month. Divide that in four and you get $12.50. I also get about $3 worth of woodworking supplies (screws, sandpaper, etc) each week. This gives me a total of $30.50. That doesn't count an occasional Pittsburgh Pirates ticket, so make that roughly $45 by the time I get a bus and a bag of peanuts provided I get the nuts at the supermarket and the bleacher seats.

I typically don't buy food for myself aside from stuff like peanuts for the ballgame. Being a commuter I eat at home so I just get whatever is in my fridge or pantry. The grocery bill also includes stuff like toothbrushes, deoderant, etc. so I don't buy that myself.

Ummmmm
Not a whole lot. I spent nothing last week. The week before I spent $7 ($2 movie in the student union building, $5 hall t-shirt). This week I spent $8 I think on some stuff at Brooks. A typical week though is absolutely no spending, or very little. I take advantage of all the free or VERY cheap stuff on campus. If I want something other than dining hall food I eat somewhere that takes my dining dollars that are part of my meal plan. Or we go to the pizza place that has slices of pizza for a dollar something (it's actually good too). The only significant expenses are when I go birthday or Christmas shopping for people. Relatives are always giving me gift cards, so if we go to the mall I have those to spend. I don't have to buy gas because I don't have a car on campus. Don't need one because the school has a great bus system, that's included in all the fees we pay at the start of the year.
However, I am not typical, and do not go to school in a city. There are stores in our "downtown", but they're aimed at college kids (they're inexpensive), and there aren't many.
If you plan to drink you will spend a lot more. My roommate last semester spent hundreds on alcohol

I'm with adconard -- about $20 per week for me, but sometimes much more and sometimes none.

And I'm a girl, and I like to buy clothes. :)

I've known people that survived 6 weeks with just $25.

I spend about $50 a week, on average, all on food.

I eat a lot. Right now I spend on average over $60 a week on food alone for high school. College is going to cost a lot.

I know plenty of people spend very little, but I'll be honest: I average at $100 (although that's an AVERAGE; some weeks I'll spend much less)

But I buy everything, from toothpaste to prescriptions to plane tickets, and plus I'm just a giant shopaholic going to college in a place with lots of stuff. My parents don't do the care packages thing, nor do we go on shopping trips during breaks at home.

Guys, how much are you going to get for monthly allowance?

yea what is the typical monthly allowance you guys get?

I don't really get an allowance. My parents put $1000 in my bank account (they decided any money I got in scholarship was my money, so that thousand is from my scholarship money), and then I have a paid internship.

How much a bottle of beer, schnapps, wine and brandy cost in the US? Or is it up to the state you live in?

rytis-

Finally, a pertinent question. It varies based both upon state and product.

However, "Beverages and More" is a well-known chain of liquor stores, and their online site should help you out;

I don't get a monthly allowance. What I spend is my own money, plus the wonderful holiday checks from the grandparents
However, when I go home my mom takes me shopping for snacks, meds, toiletries, and any other needs that come up.
