How much does being a QuestBridge Finalist help when you're applying to very competitive schools (Harvard, Columbia, Stanford, UChicago, etc.) regular decision? Is QuestBridge Finalist considered a big hook? Will it be enough to push an applicant who is borderline into the acceptance pile?

I thought that it was that u could ED to multiple schools

You can also forward your application RD if you’re a finalist (or if you’re not, but I don’t know why someone would do that).

@Melocatones: I am going to forward my QB app RD to QB partner schools. And nonpartner schools will know that I’m a QB Finalist (it’s on my common app). But I’m wondering how much of an impact QB Finalist status has.

@SonicCare: I opted out of QB College Match. I’m just applying RD.

This thread might help answer your question, OP. You can search for similiar threads from other years.

Apparently, it does help. I’d think it’s even more advantageous if you’ve applied through the NCM (i.e., for the schools you re-apply to through RD).
