how much does TOEFL mean after minimum?

<p>I've applied to a certain college EDII where acceptance rate for the pool is >50% (but this isn't in favor for international I guess?)</p>

<p>While I've SAT score that's right in these zone of college applicant pool:
CR: 25th (English isn't my school language) M:90th W: 80th
and TOEFL of 85 (reading 28) and 88 (reading 21) respectively (I know they don't super score but they have both scores :( ) the minimum is 79.</p>

<p>is it mean that they won't even look at the application for low reading score? although I've everything that takes me in the 90th percentile of applicant pool with a hook?</p>

<p>:o I'm pretty worried.</p>

<p>Each college and university sets its own policy about this. You would have to contact the international admissions office and ask. It really, truly, is OK to ask.</p>

<p>If the minimum is 79, they’ll check you do have 79 and then move on to other parts of your application. They know English isn’t your first language and they’ll take it into account. You may have to take English for Academic Purpose when you arrive but stop worrying about subscores. :)</p>
