Here is what I learned - NMF scholarship itself is worth $5000/year. If you are already awarded another scholarship like Dean scholarship for $X, they will add 5000 to it and award $(X+5000) as NMF scholarship.
@tnknes The scholarship is more than 5K, it just does not stack with other scholarships so you only get the largest one. So if the NMF scholarship was 30K but you had a 25K honors scholarship, then yes the difference would be 5K, but that is not true for all NMF cases. The amount historically has been up to 30K but unclear on what makes them not all the same value
@PengsPhils I don’t know about the past, but this year, here is the policy of NorthEastern: If a NMF applicant did not get any other scholarship, NEU will give $5000 as NMF scholarship. If he/she already qualified for another scholarship, NEU will bump it by $5000. Either way, the value of NMF scholarship is $5000 only. This is the reason why we see different values of “NMF scholarships” posted here.
