How much sleep

This sounds silly, but I was wondering what time i should go to bed on Friday 10/13...because if i sleep too much, then i get even more tired the next day and if i don't sleep enough i can't think and stuff.

Does 9-ish sound good? haha, sry, this has been bugging me. :X

according to the overachievers (by alexandra robbins), a teenager is supposed to have 9.25 hours of sleep a day, so I guess sleep around 9-ish hours.

what time do you normally go to bed? 9ish would be good, but could you actually sleep that early? don't go to bed a lot earlier than usual...

haha before the june test i went to sleep at like 1 am...

and i ended up scoring an all time personal best. Up 190 points from april..

i was up late memorizing quotations though.... i ended up using 3 of those in my essay. I guess last minute cramming did help

i read somewhere (or some1 said) that u remember less if u dont get enough sleep, and that if u got enough sleep, u would actually do better the next day on any task (or test) than if u didnt get enough sleep

Hmm... It seems to be quite the opposite in some cases for me. The less sleep I get, the more awake and focused I am the next day, with the tradeoff of being tired and constant yawning.

also, studies have shown that not getting enough sleep shows weight gain

I got 4 hours of sleep yesterday night since i was reading a book that i started that day for english class. i finished it at 2 AM and fell asleep at 2 AM and woke up at 6:06 AM, went to school at 7 AM for AP english, wrote a critical analysis timed essay on the book and got an A- on it :)

shouldve used sparknotes lol

they didn't have sparknotes for my book :( i was sad

Wow 9.5 ish hours, thats like impossible for me , i sleep like 5-6 hrs a day on average ( 7 if i am lucky) ...I do sometimes Oversleep on weekends ( to make up for the lack of sleep on weekdays)
Which reminds me.. i think i should go sleep now..

lol( i am actually gonna TRY to sleep early today..lol)

peace

according to my psychology book you need 3 full days of normal sleep to get your circadian rhythyms back to normality

yea intel23, what does that last part of ur post mean?..lol

backfire, 190 increase in 2 months?

you win.

circadian rhythms will never normal- a teen won't be able to do all the stuff he/she has to do if it is.
