For me, it really matters what time I get up and not how much sleep. Supposedly high school students need nine and a quarter hours, but most people say 8 and a lot of people I know get by on 4-6 hours.

Oh, I have also heard that sleep comes in a 2-hour cycle, so sleeping for an even number of hours is better. For example, you feel better having 2 hours than 3 hours, or 4 hours than 5 hours.

I don't know how people run on just 4 hours of sleep. I have to have at least 7.5 hours for me to function during the day.

When I don't have enough sleep, it's hard for me to get up because I'm so tired, but once I'm up and start working, I'm fine.

I can't sleep more than 10, but I usually get 7.

I can sleep anywhere from 2-20 hours and be (almost) fully functional

I get around 7. I usually could sleep earlier but procrastinate too much. I love to sleep though, I never understood why some people consider it cool to stay up all night.

during the year, six became the "well, okay" number for me...i'm a person who needs 8 to be truly functional. supposedly teenagers need 8 1/2 to 9 1/4...i don't know who actually gets that much sleep...

i get 9 hours about four days a week, 5 or 6 hours about three days a week.

I usually get about 7 hours of sleep. It's nice when I get at least 8.

I get like... 3 hours... it sucks.

When it's not summer, I get about 5-7 hours. I'm always tired in the morning until about 10 AM.
