I think that this is an interesting discussion!
Write the amount of each type of class you take, your grade, and your average daily homework! I’ll start:
2 AP, 2 honors, 2 regular
9th grade
90 minutes

4-5 hours. This number significantly varies. Most of my classes assign homework a week in advance however, because of procrastination, I often do a lot the night before. If I actually did stuff ahead of time, it would probably be around 2 hrs.
3 APs, 1 college course (I’m on block scheduling, 4 classes per 1/2-year semester). 3-4, less if I don’t have an EC and can focus solely on my work (which happens rarely). I’m a junior!

9 courses this last semester with online schooling. 4 hours of extra work a day plus 6 hours at least on Sunday and Satruday.
5 were ap, 2 were honors, 2 were regulars.
This semester:
2 AP’s, Internship
<1.5 hours of homework (though that will change, as it is just the start of the semester)
Last semester:
DE class, Internship
2 hours ish
I think the most I ever spent doing homework is ~2 hours a day (mostly b/c my teachers don’t assign much/I don’t do it)
Freshman, 1 AP, 4 or 5 honors (orchestra is kind of unclear), 1 or 2 standard, 1.5 hours average
Sophomore
2 AP, 3 Honors, 3 Regular
About 30 minutes to an hour a day on average. It’s mainly just Algebra 2 that gives me daily work. The others give a week for homework usually.
In the 9th and 10th grade, I had about 10 minutes of homework a week…
12th grade:
2 AP classes: about 1.5 hours a week
2 DE courses: about 8 hours a week
1 regular class: about 20 minutes a week
11th grade:
3 APs, 1 Honors, 1 Pre-AP, 1 regular
5 hours or so per night, although since the “regular” class is Leadership I sometimes spend 2-4 hours outside of school attending related events or setting them up.
12th grade
2 APs
2 IB
2 PLTW
Three hours
sophomore
2APs: Calc and World
3H: Lit, Physical Science, French 3

between 2.5 and 5 hours. depends on the night
@awesomepolyglot Orchestra does not count as honors. even though it is a bit of “homework” sometimes lol
It does at my school, sort of @natat13
oh. at my school we have levels but it’s not considered honors its just like concert, advanced, and chamber @awesomepolyglot
At my school we have an honors option for each band, orchestra, and choir. You have the normal class plus a few extra assignment a quarter.
10th grade
2 ap, 4 honors
2 hours avg.
10th grade
3 DE, 1 honors, band
3 hours
5 APs 1 regular
12th grade
like 5 hours a day kill me
I think it’s worth mentioning that 3 of my classes rarely assign homework, 1 does so about 1/3 of the time, and the other 3 assign it daily or almost daily.
10th Grade
First Semester: 3 Honors, 2 Regular
Second Semester: 1 AP, 3 Honors, 2 Regular
First semester I had a study hall, so I between that and lunch (which together totals to 90 minutes), I rarely did homework at home, unless I had an essay or project to work on. However, at school, I’d say it took me around 30-60 minutes. It could shift pretty significantly day-by-day. I also never did my assigned honors bio notes, so I’d have days where I’d spend several hours catching up.
Second semester my study hall is gone and I have an AP class, so its a lot different. The workload still fluctuates, but I’d say I have roughly 1-2 hours a night. I still bs some of my homework though, so it would probably be a bit longer if I was doing a completely thorough job. ^^’
