How much time do you spend working?

Hey everyone. I'm thinking about courses for next year and I really don't know how stressed I would be with how many advanced courses.
How much do you guys work, and what is your course schedule like? Are you up until 2 AM? Do you find it easy? I'm open to everyone's experiences.
Thanks! (:

I'm taking three college courses and some honors math/science stuff (that's not my forte) and I usually work 2/3 hours a night and cram for 7/8 hours on weekends. Though I will study from maybe 9 AM until 6 PM, I have made a pact not to work on Friday or Saturday nights (I need SOME kind of social life!)

My weekday studying is limited by soccer practice. Without soccer I would probably even my studying out to 3/4 hrs on weeekdays and less on weekends.

like not at all...

Maybe 11 on rough nights, but i do sports too. Then again, I'm not a straight A student.

Approximately 40 - 45 seconds.

6 honors courses + religion...busy work? about 1 1/2 hours...real stuff-10 minutes, maybe like 10-20 hours for the occasional project, etc. Studying-I study in between times-like, in homeroom, waiting for bus, so it always feel like I'm never studying, but I am.

here are the courses I had this year
AP Biology
AP U.S. History
Chemistry H
Language Arts 11 H
Precalculus
Human Anatomy
Advanced Anatomy
Collrge Finance
I have usually 1-4hrs of HW per night, but the 4 is rare it only occurs the night before a big project is due. I usually go to bed at midnight, but that's because I procrastinate my HW until 9PM. lol
My gpa is 3.94!

I'm a senior taking 5 AP classes. At the beginning of the year, I'd have close to six hours of homework per night, but I think that was because I really didn't know how much weight to put on the work for the various classes. For example, it took me hours to complete a chem lab, and I absolutely agonized over my English papers. But once I got the hang of it, the work load gradually lessened. Currently, if I don't have any major projects/papers due, I have probably three hours of homework a night.

I'll admit, though, that two of my AP classes are somewhat easy (AP French and AP Euro), and I don't get a lot of homework in those classes. Also, now that AP exams are near, a lot of my teachers are more focused on exam practice than tests/papers/projects.

The latest I've ever had to stay up (this includes my entire high school career) for school was 1:30 am. I did fine in all my classes and on standardized tests.

But I think the level of difficulty of a certain schedule really depends on your school, so you should definitely ask students at your school about the workload and stress levels for certain classes. AP French at my school may be a joke, but it might require a lot of work at your school. And it also depends on what kind of person you are. While I never had to pull an all-nighter, I know some people in my classes who do stay up all night or go to bed at 3-4 in the morning because they prefer to leave everything until the last minute (or because they're involved in sports, and I'm not).

i go to school, track practice and work just about everday...and excel in all three things
i guess im just that good. lol

Time management is key. I've taken numerous AP and honors classes throughout high school and had a pretty good GPA (3.9). I guess the average amount of time I spent on homework and studying each year has been maybe an hour a night. I got into the colleges I wanted to and did fine on the SAT. It's all about how well you want to do. If I wanted to get over a 4.0 I probably could have, but I was happy with a 3.9ish.
