How much would you recommend SDSU?

I recently got off the waitlist for biology, but I’ve already commited University of Redlands. SDSU was one of my top choices last fall
How good is this school in terms of opportunities, community, and grad school transfers? Is it worth turning back now?
I have until June 3rd to choose

I’m going to attend SDSU this fall, but from what I have gathered from posts here and from alumni, the school has a great alumni network that provides some solid career opportunties.

As far as community, it’s San Diego man! There’s a bunch of great people here and on top of that there is an amazing amount of things to do with your free time, if you have any. I personally live here and have lived here for over 10 years and I haven’t gotten sick of it yet.

As for grad school transfer, I’m not quite sure. Sorry I couldn’t help you out on this one.

University of Redlands, from what I have gathered, is a pretty good school as well. However, it’s a private school and tuition is going to be expensive as hell. If you’re a CA student, the tuition at SDSU will be much cheaper. Aside from that, I can’t really say which school is better because it’s ultimately your decision and I don’t know too much about University of Redlands.

Unless Redlands made a substantial aid award, SDSU will be substantially cheaper. SDSU is also much larger, leading to a broader variety of courses, activities, clubs, etc.

As for grad school admissions, SDSU has a fine reputation.
