How quick do they send the electronic SAT scores?

My son is taking the October SAT. He took it in June and did well, but there is room for improvement. He is applying early action to some schools. I would be nervous to send out the scores without seeing them first, especially, now that there is score choice for some schools. If he waits to see the scores, they come out on Oct. 29th...can they be ordered and sent by 11/1? Thanks!

My Daughter ordered a SAT score to be sent to a college on September 18th and according to College Board they sent it on September 18th. So I would think that you could look at the scores on October 29th and then if you wanted to send them request it that day. You would have to pay the $9.50 fee, however.

Do NOT pay extra for expidited delivery! It’s all electronic, so the extra costs for speedy delivery is wasted. Schools are fine about getting those scores on 11/1 or so. (We did it last year for S2’s ED.) It’s not like they’ll look at his application 11/2.

My daughter was wondering the same thing, she doesn’t know whether to apply EA to a college as “optional” or send her scores and wants to wait until she sees them.

I’ve heard the quicker delivery is not really quicker, but don’t know that for a fact.
