How Rescinding Works at UCR (CNAS/BCOE)

I’m surprised to see you guys getting rescinded. Two years ago I got an F in my senior year and they told me I was fine as long as my cumulative stayed above a 3.0. Sorry guys :(

Hmm, okay so, right now I’m in the same boat, but I haven’t turned in my transcript yet, I got a C- first semester, then a F second semester in AP Calculus. Going to send my transcript in tomorrow since I just got it. I emailed them like…2 months ago about it and I called them like 2 weeks before school let out. All the counselor said was to wait until final transcript to get in. Think they’ll auto rescind me? My average GPA is 3.62 weighted and first semester I got a 3.33 and second semester I got a 3.5…even with a F haha. Now I’m sweating bullets on it, and I just took my MAE test…placed in calc xP

Does anyone know where to check your AP scores on the UCR pages? Im hoping if I passed with a 3 or higher that would help my defense in AP Calc…

Also Rafaela did you tell them your grades in calculus beforehand?

Hey guys…im so incredibly sad…

I just got the email of the jeopardy thing…5 days…are they really going to reply in 5 days?

Well, I only got one D for AP Physics…and its not even an A-G requirement and I instantly dropped the class since my counselor said that since it is a non-requirement class I dont need to worry about it. And I even included that I got A D in one of my classes when I applied for the colleges…I said I got a D on AP Physics. And UCR accepted me even though I had it. I mean whats going to happen now? My G.P.A is a 3.98 and its only one D. I heard they waive one D/F and let you go…but im still scared…I should call, but im afraid theyll say to screw away and just wait for a negative reply. Will they still take me? One D and the rest of my grades are As and Bs thats all! UGH! What do I do whats going to happen? Any guesses?

I need some comfort words…anyone?

I am wondering what happens to you if you drop a college language class? Doe it mean rescind?

oinkie
They accepted you when you had the one D on the application?
And NOW they sent you a jeopardy email?
If they included contact information, I would consider contacting them and pointing out that you were accepted with the D on the application and that you did not get any other D’s since then. How can they rescind on information they considered when they accepted you?

Yeah they accepted and now kicking me out :(

Yeah I emailed and plan to call on Monday ASAP. What do you think? You think they will still kick me out? Even if its their fault? I really hope I dont :[

and thank you for replying :)

I would be polite. I would not express outrage, even if you are feeling it; even if it’s justified. Ask if there is an appeal process and, if so, what it is. Then, do it.

To me, it sounds like you have a good case. We can only hope those making the decision do too.

Unfortunately, Monday is likely to be a holiday. But try anyway. And you’ve sent the email already.

Good luck.

Well, I called and all. But the counselor said he will call me in like 2-3 days regarding my information.

Do you really think that I will get kicked out. Even if I have an overall gpa of 3.98?

We can only hope common sense wins out.

HEEEEYYY!!! GUESS WHHAAAAT!!!

MY ADMISSION WAS NOT REVOKED! OH YEEEE!!! MY COUNSELOR TOTALLY DELIVERED AWESOME NEWS! WELL, IM SO HAPPY!

HERE I COME RIVAHSIIIIIIIDEEE!!! YEE BOI!

HEHE and thank you for the replies ‘CONSIDER’ youre so nice and kind and awesome xD

Well, good news! Have a good time and learn lots!

I am a transfer student and put I was going to take calc 2 during the summer on my UC application. If I drop the class will my admission be revoked

Okay UCR has just received my transcript and my homepage for My UCR has not changed saying I have been rescinded. Does this mean that I’m in the safe zone or is there still a chance they will rescind me?

they can rescind you anytime so no you aren’t in the clear

Ahh okay thanks, I was happy for a little bit when i noticed they recieved my transcript. I really hope I don’t get rescinded =

So I received a D in pre calc in first semester and then received yet another D in second semester. I emailed them twice about it, and today I just got an email telling that I was rescinded…

And so I really really do not know what to do… Do I still go to orientation and everything? Should I try to appeal? I really don’t know what to say either…

Thanks.

Try to change your major to undeclared and appeal again. you might have a chance to get back in.

make an appointment to see a human at admissions. Is your GPA for senior year over 3.0? That’s important because it was also a condition of admittance. Are there any extenuating circumstances surrounding the grade? Are you in summer school retaking the class? Explain what you can to the admin person. Appeal if you can. UCR is really that full this year?

Uhm how do you know if you are in UCR? I got a letter titled “Confirmed Registration, UCR Orientations” but I do not want to get too excited if that doesn’t mean anything =

thx for replying! I have a 3.315 gpa. And no I am not taking any classes. And for appealing do I like just email them or send a letter?

And fraxian if you check your account it will say if you got admitted or not, and plus if you did get rescinded they would have called you and emailed you.
