How substantial is a MBA from Alabama?

I’m currently a freshman at UAB, but I’m looking towards the future and looking to get some insight on some MBA programs that I am interested in.

Because questions about The University of Alabama’s B-school seem to keep popping up on CC, I thought I’d see what I could find about both the undergrad and grad B-schools. The following is what I found on Business Week’s and the UA B-school’s websites.

Hopefully others can add some personal insight into what Alabama’s B-school offers for both undergrad and grad. :)

Alabama is known for its business school - The Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business and The Manderson Graduate School of Business. Unless you’re on scholarship at UAB, maybe you should be at Alabama if your undergrad degree is in business. :)[The Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration](http://www.cba.ua.edu/)

Personal Visits:
We realize that your schedules may be tight, and that you might not be able to make it to our scheduled preview events. We would love to set up a personal tour of campus for you should this be the case…you can meet with Admissions staff, be led on a tour of our business school facilities, and sit in on an actual MBA class. If you’d like to set up a personal visit, please email us at eharmon@cba.ua.edu, or give us a call at 205/348-6517. We look forward to meeting you!

I really see our MBA program taking great strides. I have class with a few MBA students and they all seemed very eager and excited about their experience so far.

We just added a dual MBA/Master’s in Engineering program (Mechanical & Civil). Plus, an MBA student told me that they are quite generous with their scholarships, fellowships, etc. She pretty much said the earlier you apply the greater your chances of receiving a scholarship are.

I plan to get my MBA and the only reason I am not considering UA is because I am here for undergrad and want to go to another school for my MBA.
