Good morning–
My daughter is in the process of submitting her ED application to a LAC. They indicate that they want to see her first quarter grades, but we can’t figure out how to upload them into the common ap. Her school’s guidance counselor is no help. The rest of her application is complete. Anyone have any experience with this?
What do you mean that her GC is “no help”? Usually transcripts are uploaded by the GC.
Your GC should send the Q1 transcript. If that won’t work, ask the registrar for an unofficial transcript with Q1 grades included and send via email to the admissions officer. Alternatively, call and ask admissions how they want you to handle it…a call from them may get the GC to act.
Thank you. I only know what was relayed to me by my daughter. While her GC has uploaded her full transcript, when it came to her 1st quarter grades (which are not on the official transcript), her GC apparently told my daughter to either include it on the common ap or send it directly to the college, as if she was not part of the process at all. Obviously I haven’t gone through this before, but from the response I take it that a college’s request for 1st quarter grades is not common?
EDIT–my daughter just texted me that she went to see her GC, who admitted it is something she (the GC) has to do. So, progress.
Thanks for your quick replies!
