How to boost chances for admission into BA/MD programs(beyond grades)?

I am a NC high school junior who will be applying to a few guaranteed admissions and BA/MD programs this upcoming fall. How are ways I can properly utilize this summer to boost chances of admission? especially beyond academics.
My stats are:
3.88 GPA uw( will go up by end of school year)
ACT: 29- will be retaking
200 + hours shadowing and volunteering in healthcare settings
Attended National Youth Leadership Forum in medicine
Bilingual
EC's: Co-captain of Science Olympiad
Secretary of Literary Society
National Honors Society
Beta Club

Also, how can I get a head start on college applications this summer?

See if you can pursue one of the following: Hospital Volunteering, Research at a Local University, EMT (some states allow one to be certified at age 16). These would give you experiences that can help you explore medicine as well as help you with your essays/interviews.

Any community service activities (like a soup Kitchen or tutoring) would also look nice, but I’d focus on the ACT and on doing well on subject tests.

The main common app essay stays the same from year to year, and every med program will ask you a varariation of why medicine and how you know.

Thanks! I have been volunteering at at the hospital since the summer of 8th grade and at a free clinic for 2 years. I have shadowed an internal medicine physician who specializes in geriatrics and an oncologist. I am currently looking for research opportunities. Do you think I stand a chance?

You seem to have your medical ECs covered. In that case, pulling up your ACT score is going to be very important. Even if you exceed the minimum to apply, some progs might not fully consider a strong application just because they have so many other applicants with stronger scores. I’ve heard that 32 ACT or 2100 SAT is a good number to be a competitive applicant, but higher is always better.
