How to get stuff to stay on the door and walls

Just a practical question, might be a little dumb. How do you get corkboard and whiteboards to stay on your dorm room door and on the walls? I know we can't nail them in, does anyone know if the 3m stickers work and at the end of the year can I just pull them off? I don't want to get a fine, but I need stuff up on my door and walls?

Thanks to anyone who knows and tells me.

Double sided tape (not actually tape, they’re rectangular and moderately thick).
Sticky tack for posters and tapestry. AKA “poster puddy.”

There’s this plastitak stuff that sticks to walls but is easily removable and cheap. You can even get reusable stuff.

The 3M Command strips are pretty good about not damaging paint. When that is not a concern, I will sometimes use double-sided foam tape because it works better for rigid objects that are not perfectly flat (like whiteboards).
